Personalized radiation aims to spare healthy tissue in lung cancer battle

NCT ID NCT05488626

Summary

This study aimed to test whether adjusting radiation treatment daily based on a patient's anatomy could reduce side effects like cough, shortness of breath, and swallowing problems. It planned to compare this 'adaptive' approach to standard radiation, both given alongside chemotherapy to people with stage III non-small cell lung cancer. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
