First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is testing a new communication system that learns and adapts to each user's physical abilities, making it easier for people with severe motor impairments to type and speak. The device creates a personalized keyboard interface for those who cannot use standard communication tools. Researchers will enroll 20 adults and children (age 6 and older) with conditions like spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, or locked-in syndrome to see how well the system works.
