Summary

This study aims to make an evidence-based childhood obesity program called COACH available to families in low-income, rural, and minority communities. About 750 children aged 6-12 with obesity and their parents will take part in a 6-month program at local community centers. The program focuses on healthy behaviors for the child, supports parents in their own weight loss, and builds community capacity to offer these services.
