Blood test hunts hidden lung cancer cells to stop return

NCT ID NCT04585477

First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study is for people with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. After standard treatment, a blood test checks for leftover cancer DNA, which raises the risk of the cancer coming back. If the test is positive, participants receive the drug durvalumab to try to lower that DNA and prevent recurrence. The goal is to see if this personalized approach can reduce the chance of cancer returning.
