NCT ID NCT07258771

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for people having a severe flare-up of ulcerative colitis: a combination of the drug upadacitinib (Rinvoq) plus steroids versus steroids alone. The goal is to see if the combo helps patients get better faster and avoid emergency hospital stays or surgery. About 110 adults with acute severe colitis will take part, and the main check is how well they respond by day 5 of treatment.
