Doctors build database to track best ways to treat dangerous brain bleeds

NCT ID NCT07490197

Summary

This study is creating a data registry to analyze how different surgical treatments affect survival for patients with an acute subdural hematoma, a serious brain bleed caused by head trauma. Researchers will look back at the medical records of about 100 adult trauma patients treated at a single hospital over five years. The goal is to gather information to help doctors understand which procedures, like surgery or artery blockage, lead to better outcomes.
