NCT ID NCT07487532
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding acupuncture to standard care can reduce the return of irregular heartbeats after a common heart procedure called catheter ablation. About 120 adults with persistent atrial fibrillation will be randomly assigned to receive either acupuncture plus usual medical therapy or usual therapy alone. Researchers will track heart rhythm, heart structure, and quality of life for one year to see if acupuncture makes a difference.
