NCT ID NCT05241041
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether ear acupressure (using small pellets on the ear) combined with group counseling focused on positive psychology can reduce gambling addiction and withdrawal symptoms. About 180 adults with gambling problems and 60 non-gamblers took part. Some received acupressure, some got a placebo, and others only educational materials. The goal was to see if these methods could lower gambling severity, ease withdrawal, and improve mood over six months to a year.
