Fingertip pressure eases fear of embarrassing medical test
NCT ID NCT07340645
Summary
This study tested whether a brief acupressure session could help patients feel less anxious, embarrassed, and fearful during an invasive urodynamic test, which assesses bladder function. 68 adult patients were randomly assigned to receive either acupressure at specific points or just routine care before their procedure. Researchers measured patients' feelings using standard questionnaires before and after the test to see if the acupressure made a difference.
