NCT ID NCT05662202
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests a gel (Ameluz®) combined with a special red light to treat actinic keratosis—rough, scaly patches caused by sun damage that can turn into skin cancer. About 172 adults with 4 to 15 patches on their arms, legs, neck, or trunk will receive either the active gel or a placebo gel, followed by light therapy. The goal is to see if the treatment safely clears all target patches after the final session.
