New lupus drug candidate begins first safety tests in humans

Summary

This early-stage study will test the safety and tolerability of a new drug called ACT100 in 48 healthy adults. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will monitor for side effects and measure how the drug moves through the body. This is the first step in developing a possible treatment for lupus.
