First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at how acne and the antibiotic doxycycline change the bacteria and fats on the skin and in the gut. Researchers will compare 30 people with acne to healthy controls, tracking changes before and after treatment. The goal is to understand how antibiotics affect the body's natural microbiome, not to test a new treatment.
