New acne gel shows promise in reducing breakouts in large trial

Summary
This study tests a new gel applied once daily for 12 weeks to reduce acne lesions on the face and trunk. About 400 people with acne vulgaris will either get the active gel or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in pimple counts and skin clearness at clinic visits every 4 weeks.
