First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 40 times
Summary
This study looked at whether computer-designed surgical guides (CAD-CAM) are more accurate than traditional ones for placing dental implants in the back of the jaw. Twenty-seven patients received implants using either a conventional or a CAD-CAM guide. Researchers measured how much the actual implant position differed from the planned position. The goal was to see if the newer technology improves precision.
