Blood protein injection may cut braces time in half
NCT ID NCT06302296
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting a substance made from a patient's own blood (platelet-rich fibrin) can speed up tooth movement during the early stages of braces treatment. Fourteen people aged 18-26 with crowded upper teeth will receive the injection on one side of the mouth, and the other side will serve as a comparison. The goal is to see if this approach can shorten the time needed for braces.
