New heart mapping technique could improve ablation for persistent AFib

NCT ID NCT07390175

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to treat persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib) by using advanced heart mapping to find and burn specific areas that keep the abnormal rhythm going. About 78 adults with long-lasting AFib or dangerous ventricular arrhythmias will take part. The goal is to see if targeting these high-frequency zones makes the procedure more effective and reduces future episodes.
