New drug combo shows promise for Hard-to-Treat prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests whether a targeted chemotherapy drug (abemaciclib) and an immunotherapy drug (atezolizumab), alone or together, can shrink or slow advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to hormone therapy. Nineteen adult men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer took part. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and effective at controlling the disease.
