Caregiver's touch eases digestive distress in palliative care
NCT ID NCT07244302
Summary
This study tested whether training caregivers to give abdominal massage could help reduce gastrointestinal symptoms in palliative care patients. Over 7 days, 56 patients were split into two groups: one received twice-daily massages from their caregivers, while the other received standard care. Researchers measured changes in symptoms like constipation, pain, and bloating to see if the massage made a difference.
