First seen Nov 25, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple abdominal massage, given by a family member or caregiver, could help with stomach issues like pain, bloating, and constipation in people receiving palliative care. Fifty-six patients took part, with half getting the massage and half getting standard care. The goal was to see if the massage could improve gastrointestinal symptoms over one week.
