Heart rhythm fix under the microscope: 200 patients tracked for 3 years

NCT ID NCT05434650

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study follows 200 people with persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) to see how well a catheter-based treatment works over time. The treatment uses radiofrequency energy to fix the heart's electrical signals. Researchers will check if the heart stays in normal rhythm for up to 3 years and watch for any serious side effects within a week of the procedure.
