Summary

This study explores whether a special PET/CT scan using a compound called 68Gallium-DOTATATE can better detect thyroid cancer that has spread and is resistant to standard radioactive iodine treatment. About 54 adults with metastatic thyroid cancer will receive an injection of the compound and undergo imaging to see if their tumors show up brightly. The goal is to identify which patients might benefit from future targeted therapies, not to treat the cancer directly.
