New eczema drug shows promise in major trial

Summary

This study tested a new medicine called 611 in 519 Chinese adults with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). The drug works by blocking a protein involved in inflammation. The main goal was to see if it could significantly improve skin symptoms like redness and itching after 16 weeks. Results showed that more people taking 611 had clear or almost clear skin compared to those on a placebo.
