New walk test may better gauge oxygen needs for lung patients
NCT ID NCT05630092
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 93 people with lung disease who get short of breath when active. Researchers compared the standard 6-minute walk test (walking as fast as possible) with a test done at a normal walking speed. The goal was to see if the normal-speed test gives a more accurate picture of when patients need extra oxygen during daily life.
