Can a stepper test replace the walk test for PAD patients?

NCT ID NCT07169045

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 6-minute stepper test (stepping in place) is a good and reliable way to measure exercise ability in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers will compare it to standard tests like the 6-minute walk test and a treadmill test. The goal is to find a simpler, low-cost option that needs less space. About 24 adults with stable PAD will take part.
