Can a 6-Minute step test replace a walk test for heart health?
NCT ID NCT04699136
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple 6-minute stepper test could be a good way to measure exercise tolerance in people with heart disease who are in rehabilitation. Researchers tested 60 adult patients who had undergone heart procedures like bypass surgery or valve replacement. They compared the stepper test results to standard tests like the 6-minute walk test to see if it gave similar, reliable information about a patient's fitness.
