Summary
This study tests a program called '5 Rs to Rescue' to reduce preventable deaths after surgery in African hospitals. The program includes regular check-ups, early warning systems, and team reviews. 6000 adults from 20 hospitals in Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda will take part. The goal is to see if this approach helps doctors catch and treat complications faster.
