3D tech may sharpen heart valve placement in leaky valve patients
NCT ID NCT07398911
First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether using 3D simulation before a minimally invasive heart valve replacement helps doctors place the new valve more accurately. It involves 354 older adults with severe aortic regurgitation, a condition where the heart valve leaks. Half of the participants will have the procedure guided by 3D simulation, while the other half will have the standard approach, to see if the 3D method improves outcomes.
