3D printing could sharpen radiation therapy for Women's cancers

Summary

This study tested whether custom 3D printed applicators could improve MRI-guided radiation (brachytherapy) for gynecological cancers. Thirteen patients with cervical, uterine, vaginal, or vulvar cancer received the individualized applicators. The goal was to see if these tools could better target tumors while sparing healthy organs.
