3D movies vs. eye patches: a new hope for lazy eye?
NCT ID NCT07563946
First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether watching 3D movies, along with standard eye patching, improves depth perception and vision in children with lazy eye (amblyopia) better than patching alone. About 56 children aged 4 to 14 will be randomly assigned to either patching only or patching plus weekly 3D movie sessions. The goal is to see if the immersive 3D experience can boost binocular vision and offer a more engaging treatment option.
