Inhaled stem cells could repair lungs in COPD – first human trial begins

This early-stage trial tests whether inhaling small mobile stem cells (SMS) is safe for people with mild to moderate COPD. 18 participants aged 39–69 will receive the cells via a nebulizer. The study focuses on safety and side effects, not yet on whether the treatment works.
