T lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma
MONDO:0003537A neoplasm of lymphoblasts committed to the T-cell lineage, typically composed of small to medium-sized blast cells. When the neoplasm involves predominantly the bone marrow and the peripheral blood, it is called T acute lymphoblastic leukemia. When it involves nodal or extranodal sites it is called T lymphoblastic lymphoma. (WHO, 2001)
Also known as: precursor T lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma, precursor T lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia, precursor T-lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia

Scientists train immune cells to hunt down mutated blood cancers
Disease control Recruiting nowThis early-phase trial tests a personalized treatment for people with blood cancers like leukemia. Doctors take a patient's own T cells, modify them in the lab to recognize unique cancer mutations, and infuse them back after a short course of chemotherapy. The goal is to see if t…

Engineered immune cells take on tough T-Cell cancers in early trial
Disease control Recruiting nowThis early-phase study tests a new treatment called BEAM-201 for children and young adults with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma that has come back or not responded to standard treatments. BEAM-201 uses donor-derived immune cells that are engin…

New CAR-T therapy targets tough T-Cell cancers in early trial
Disease control Recruiting nowThis study tests a new type of CAR-T cell therapy that targets a protein called CD5 on cancer cells. It is for people with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or T-cell lymphoma that has come back or not responded to treatment. The trial has two phases: first, finding the safest …

Experimental 'Super-Universal' immune cells take on tough blood cancers
Disease control Recruiting nowThis early-stage trial is testing a new type of immune cell therapy called supCD7 CART cells in 12 adults with relapsed or refractory CD7-positive blood cancers (T-cell leukemia/lymphoma or acute myeloid leukemia). The cells are designed to target and kill cancer cells that carry…

Engineered immune cells take aim at stubborn leukemia after transplant
Disease control Recruiting nowThis early-stage trial tests a new treatment called CD7-targeted CAR-T cells for people with T-lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma that remains after a stem cell transplant. The therapy uses a patient's own or a donor's immune cells, modified to find and destroy cancer cells. The …

Engineered immune cells take on tough childhood cancers
Disease control Recruiting nowThis study is testing a new treatment called CD7-CART01 for children whose T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoblastic lymphoma has come back or not responded to standard therapy. The treatment uses the child's own immune cells, which are modified in a lab to recognize a…
