Immunoglobulin G4-related sclerosing disease
MONDO:0017287A recently described mass-forming lesion that occurs in the pancreas, submandibular glands, lacrimal glands, lymph nodes, and hepatobiliary tract. It is characterized by the presence of marked tissue sclerosis and infiltration by numerous plasma cells. The plasma cells show immunohistochemical staining for IgG4 and the serum IgG4 levels are often increased.
Also known as: IgG4-RD, IgG4-related disease, IgG4-related sclerosing disease, IgG4-related systemic disease, immunoglobulin G4-related sclerosing disease, IgG4-associated disease, IgG4-positive multiorgan lymphoproliferative syndrome, IgG4-related autoimmune disease

Can inhaled cell vesicles soothe damaged lungs in autoimmune disease?
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis early-phase trial tests a nebulized therapy called UC-EVs, derived from human umbilical cord cells, in adults with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (such as IgG4-related disease or systemic sclerosis) that affect the lungs. Participants inhale the vesicles daily for 7 d…

Can engineered immune cells tame a stubborn autoimmune disease?
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis trial tests a single infusion of BCT301, a cell therapy made from stem cells that are engineered to target the immune system, in 6 adults with IgG4-related disease that has not improved with standard treatment. The main goal is to check whether the infusion is safe and toler…

A steroid-sparing strategy for IgG4-related disease: lenalidomide put to the test
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis phase III trial tests whether lenalidomide, an immune-modulating drug, can prevent disease flares in people with IgG4-related disease who are in remission. Participants receive either lenalidomide or a placebo for 52 weeks while tapering off steroids. The goal is to see if l…

New drug aims to stop IgG4 disease relapses without Long-Term steroids
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis study tests a drug called IMM0306 in 125 people with IgG4-related disease, a condition where the immune system attacks organs causing swelling and damage. The goal is to see if IMM0306 can prevent disease flare-ups and allow patients to safely stop taking steroids. Participa…
