Extranodal nasal NK/T cell lymphoma
MONDO:0019472A rare, malignant neoplasm mainly affecting men in the fifth decade of life, that usually arises in the nose, paranasal sinuses, orbits or upper airway, and that can present with a nasal mass, nasal bleeding, nasal obstruction, palate perforation (i.e. midline perforation of the hard palate), and mid-facial and/or upper airway destructive lesions. In advanced disease stages, which are associated with a poor prognosis, NKTCL may disseminate to other organs. A few cases of NKTCL presenting primarily in the lymph nodes have also been described.
Also known as: Extranodal NK/T lymphoma-nasal, Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type, NK/T-cell lymphoma, NKTCL, angiocentric T-cell lymphoma, lethal midline granuloma, nasal T/natural killer-cell lymphoma, nasal type Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma

New universal CAR t therapy targets tough blood cancers
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis early-stage trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy (called universal CAR T cells) for people with certain blood cancers, including T-cell leukemia and lymphoma. The therapy targets a protein called CD7 found on cancer cells. The study will check if the treatment is sa…

Personalized lymphoma therapy: could lower radiation be enough?
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis trial is testing a personalized approach for people with early-stage extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, a rare cancer of the immune system. All participants receive two cycles of induction chemotherapy (GELAD), then doctors check how well the tumor responded using a PET/CT scan …

Promising combo may slash radiation harm in rare lymphoma
Disease control Not yet recruitingThis study tests whether adding the drug selinexor to a lower dose of radiation can treat early-stage NK/T-cell lymphoma just as well as standard high-dose radiation, but with fewer side effects. About 34 people who have not had prior treatment will receive chemotherapy first, th…
