First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether metal or plastic surgical guides are better for placing special cheekbone (zygomatic) implants in people with severe upper jaw bone loss. Four adults will get implants on both sides of their jaw—one side using a metal guide, the other using a plastic guide. After surgery, a CT scan checks how accurate each guide was.
