NCT ID NCT07310420
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 25, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing whether ZOLADEX (goserelin), a hormone-blocking implant, can safely suppress ovarian function in premenopausal women with a certain type of advanced breast cancer (HR+/HER2-). About 88 women will receive two injections over 12 weeks. Researchers will measure hormone levels and menstrual changes to see if the drug works as intended.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
ZOLADEX (goserelin implant)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could confirm that ZOLADEX effectively suppresses ovarian hormone production, which may help control advanced breast cancer in premenopausal women.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 1 trial with only 88 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study focuses on hormone levels, not directly on tumor shrinkage or survival, so benefits are uncertain.
