First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new medicine called ZM-02, given as an injection into the eye, for people with advanced retinitis pigmentosa—a condition that causes gradual vision loss. The study includes 21 participants aged 6 to 60 and compares the injection to a sham procedure to see if it is safe and can help improve vision or slow further vision loss. The main goal is to check for side effects, while also measuring changes in eyesight and quality of life.
