New eye injection offers hope to slow inherited blindness

NCT ID NCT07282457

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new injection called ZM-02 for people with advanced retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited eye disease that causes progressive vision loss and has no effective treatment. The study will check if the injection is safe and if it can help preserve vision or slow its decline. It will involve 21 participants, some of whom will receive the real injection and others a sham (pretend) procedure for comparison.
