Probiotic boost for tummy bugs? study tests faster relief for kids
NCT ID NCT07168304
Summary
This study tested if adding a specific probiotic (Saccharomyces boulardii) to the standard zinc treatment helps children under 5 recover from acute diarrhea and vomiting more quickly. Researchers compared the recovery time for 276 children who received either zinc alone or zinc plus the probiotic. The goal was to find the most effective way to ease these common but distressing symptoms in young children.
