Major trial aims to boost survival for aggressive leukemia
NCT ID NCT07007312
Summary
This large, late-stage trial is testing whether adding an experimental drug called ziftomenib to standard treatments helps people with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have specific genetic mutations. The study will enroll 1300 adults and has two parts: one for older or less medically fit patients, and another for those who can tolerate stronger chemotherapy. Neither patients nor their doctors will know who receives the new drug or a placebo.
