New drug combo with surgery targets tough thyroid cancers

Summary

This study tests a drug called zanzalintinib given before surgery for people with advanced thyroid cancer. The goal is to see if the drug helps shrink the tumor and makes surgery more effective. About 45 adults with certain types of thyroid cancer that have spread locally will take part. Researchers will also check for side effects.
