Can early action stop youth mental health crises?
NCT ID NCT07413887
Summary
This study is testing five different early support programs for children and teens (ages 3-17) who are showing early warning signs of mental health difficulties, like anxiety, disordered eating, or thoughts of self-harm, but don't yet have a diagnosed disorder. The goal is to see if these programs—which involve screening, therapy sessions, and school support—are better than usual care at improving well-being and preventing problems from getting worse. About 1,200 young people will be randomly assigned to try one of the programs or to continue with their current care.
