Could a simple yogurt boost iron for Moms-to-Be with diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07287384

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether eating yogurt enriched with a protein called lactoferrin could improve iron levels in women with gestational diabetes. Fifty women were randomly assigned to eat either the enriched yogurt or a regular yogurt for comparison. The main goal was to see if the special yogurt changed a key marker of iron in the blood, while also checking effects on blood sugar and gut bacteria.
