Scientists hunt for Yogurt's 'Fingerprint' in your blood

NCT ID NCT07491887

Summary

This study aims to find a specific substance in the blood that proves someone has eaten yogurt. Researchers want this objective marker to improve studies on whether yogurt helps lower the risk of type 2 diabetes, which currently rely on people's sometimes inaccurate food diaries. Sixteen healthy adults will eat controlled diets with different amounts of yogurt so scientists can analyze their blood for unique changes.
