First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a traditional Chinese herbal paste called Yiqi Fuyuan Paste can reduce fatigue in adults with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Eighty participants will take either the paste or a placebo daily for two months. Researchers will measure fatigue levels and check for changes in blood markers to see if the paste works and is safe.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Yiqi Fuyuan Paste Formula (a blend of herbs and food ingredients like astragalus, ginseng, and goji berry)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a natural option to help reduce fatigue and improve quality of life for people with chronic fatigue syndrome.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The herbal paste may not work better than placebo, and its long-term safety is unknown.
