First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether a traditional honey paste called Yangxin Dawayimixike can help reduce plaque buildup in the neck arteries and improve cholesterol levels. About 422 adults with both artery plaque and high cholesterol will receive either the honey paste or a placebo for 12 months, alongside standard care. Researchers will measure changes in artery thickness, plaque size, and heart-related events over one year of follow-up.
