Summary
This study tested whether cleaning babies' teeth and gums with special xylitol wipes could lower the bacteria that cause cavities. Twenty healthy children aged 9 to 18 months used the wipes three times a day for four weeks. Researchers measured bacteria and acid levels in their saliva weekly. The goal was to see if this simple routine could help prevent early childhood cavities.
