Summary

This study looks at how breathing in dust from the World Trade Center collapse may cause heart and lung problems in FDNY first responders. Researchers will measure blood markers and lung function in 100 retired or light-duty firefighters. The goal is to better understand these health issues and find ways to detect them early.
