Pen over pill? study tests writing to ease nurse intern burnout
NCT ID NCT06238141
Summary
This study tested if a simple writing exercise could help nursing students manage the stress of their first hospital internship. For nine weeks, half of the 52 student interns wrote about their deepest thoughts and feelings for 10-15 minutes, twice a week, while the other half wrote about neutral topics. Researchers then compared the two groups to see if the personal writing reduced stress and improved their feelings about their work.
