Scientists scan wrists to unlock mystery of flexible joints
NCT ID NCT06918613
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a major nerve in the wrist moves and changes shape when people with very flexible joints bend their wrists. Researchers used ultrasound to compare the nerve in 18 female patients with this condition to 18 healthy volunteers. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how the condition affects the body, which could help guide future research into related problems like carpal tunnel syndrome.
