Simple shield may stop shoulder surgery infections

Summary
This study tests whether using a wound protector during shoulder replacement surgery can lower the amount of bacteria that get into the wound. About 100 patients having their first shoulder replacement will be included. The goal is to see if this device helps prevent serious infections after surgery.
