Hip surgery showdown: which wash wins for wound healing?

Summary
This study compares two common antiseptic washes used during total hip replacement surgery to see which one leads to better wound healing. About 420 adults with hip osteoarthritis or avascular necrosis will be randomly assigned to receive either povidone-iodine or chlorhexidine wash before the incision is closed. Researchers will evaluate scar appearance and complications like drainage or infection at 2 and 6 weeks after surgery.
